Is the Pioneer OPUS-QUAD suitable for beginners?
If you have never DJed before, you will need about 1 to 2 hours of practice to confidently master the basic functions. This is sufficient for wedding and party essentials like beatmatching with sync, auto-loop, and hotcues. For more ambitious sets, we recommend watching a few YouTube tutorials on the model beforehand. Renty staff will be happy to provide a brief introduction during pickup.
How many decks and channels does the Pioneer OPUS-QUAD have?
The Pioneer OPUS-QUAD offers 4 parallel decks and 4 mixer channels. This allows you to perform multi-deck transitions, mashups, and manage longer sets using various sources (vinyl, USB, Bluetooth) simultaneously. While 2 decks are perfectly sufficient for most wedding and party settings, the extra headroom is a clear advantage for ambitious sets.
Do I need a laptop for the Pioneer OPUS-QUAD?
No, the Pioneer OPUS-QUAD runs completely standalone. You can prepare your entire music library on one or more USB sticks (rekordbox format) and perform without a computer. This saves setup time, reduces cable clutter, and eliminates the risk of software crashes during your set. Optionally, the device can of course also be used in the classic way with a connected laptop.
Can I pair the Pioneer OPUS-QUAD with Bluetooth sources?
Yes, the device supports Bluetooth inputs. You can wirelessly integrate music from a smartphone, tablet, or another DJ setup—ideal for the brunch before or after your wedding when your best man's Spotify playlist is playing.
Does the Pioneer OPUS-QUAD have a headphone output?
Yes, the device has two headphone jacks (6.3 mm jack and 3.5 mm mini-jack) with dedicated volume control and a Cue/Mix function. This allows you to preview the next track without the audience hearing it. You can optionally rent DJ headphones from Renty as well.
How much does the Pioneer OPUS-QUAD weigh and how do I transport it?
The Pioneer OPUS-QUAD weighs between 6 and 12 kilograms, depending on the model. A padded transport bag or case is included, ensuring the unit fits safely into any trunk. For longer distances, a bag with a shoulder strap is very convenient, helping to prevent back strain after the event.
