Do I need a laptop for the Pioneer CDJ 3000 set?

No, you do not necessarily need a laptop. The DJ set, consisting of 2 CDJ 3000s and a DJM A9, is designed as a professional DJ setup for standalone operation. You can play your music directly from USB sticks or SD cards. Thanks to the Pro DJ Link function, you only need to connect your music source to one player, and both players will access it. Of course, you can also use the set with a laptop and rekordbox software in performance mode. The DJM A9 can be connected wirelessly via Wi-Fi to networks, digital mixers, and apps. Additionally, there is a Bluetooth function, allowing a track to be played individually from a smartphone.

What connections does the DJ set have and what can I connect to it?

The DJ set offers professional connections such as XLR, RCA, USB, LAN, Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth for laptops, turntables, microphones, smartphones, and digital mixers. You can connect a wide variety of devices. The DJM A9 mixer features: Inputs: 4x Phono (for turntables), 4x Line/CD (RCA), 2x Microphone (XLR/jack), digital inputs, and a USB port for laptops (DVS control), Bluetooth input, and Wi-Fi connectivity. Outputs: Master outputs (XLR and RCA), a booth output (jack), and a Rec-Out. The CDJ-3000 players are connected via Pro DJ Link (LAN cable) and can read tracks from USB sticks and SD cards.

What event sizes is this DJ console suitable for?

The Pioneer CDJ 3000 DJ console is suitable for events ranging from 50 to over 5,000 people. As the global club and festival standard, the CDJ 3000s combined with the DJM A9 mixer deliver the professional audio quality and reliability required for any event size, from private parties and corporate events to large open-air festivals. The actual volume and sound coverage depend on the connected PA system, which you can also rent from us.

What is included in the rental price of the Pioneer CDJ 3000 set?

The rental price includes two Pioneer CDJ-3000 players, one Pioneer DJM-A9 mixer, and all necessary power and connection cables. The set is delivered road-ready in a professional flight case. All you need to bring are your headphones and your music on a USB stick or SD card. You can book the appropriate cables for connecting to a PA system (e.g., XLR) or other accessories like microphones directly with Renty.

How heavy is the set and will it fit in a standard car?

Yes, the complete set weighs approximately 22 kg and fits easily into the trunk or on the back seat of a standard car. The individual components are compact (CDJ-3000 approx. 5.5 kg, DJM-A9 approx. 8 kg). We deliver the entire DJ set in a sturdy flight case, making transport simple and secure. Thanks to the compact dimensions, picking it up in a standard car is no problem.

Is the Pioneer CDJ 3000 DJ set suitable for beginners?

No, this set is aimed at professional and experienced DJs. Due to the multitude of professional features such as Beat Jump, 8 Hot Cues, and extensive effects sections, a fundamental understanding of DJ techniques is required. It is not intended as a plug-and-play solution for beginners. However, for experienced users, the workflow is extremely intuitive and fast thanks to the large 9-inch touchscreen and the well-thought-out layout of the controls. The DJM A9 DJ mixer also offers a very extensive range of features, effects, and sound manipulation options.
