Renty rents out folding tents with side walls, inflatable party tents, and star tents starting at €99 per day, including setup instructions. You can book online and pick up for free, or have the tent delivered and set up for you. You can see which tents are available for your date directly in the catalog.
Party tents differ primarily in size and setup. The 3 x 3 m folding tent has a steel scissor frame that can be set up by two people in under a minute, with four side walls that attach via zippers. It’s the perfect entry-level option for small parties or for covering a buffet or bar.
The inflatable party tent is a 5.4 x 5 m cube that is inflated by a blower in just a few minutes and kept in shape throughout the party. It is fully enclosed, features windows and an entrance, and, with the right lighting, feels like a small club in the evening. The star tent spans 14 meters in diameter from a central mast, providing cover for around 150 m² with open sides.
Regardless of the design, when you rent a party tent, you are primarily booking peace of mind. The garden party will go ahead even if rain is forecast for the day before, and no one has to cancel or move the event indoors.
Three questions, three answers, and you'll have the right design. Our guide doesn't suggest one specific tent, but rather the type of tent that suits your guest count, usage, and ground surface. The catalog will then show you which of those are available for your date.
A private garden is the classic setting: a milestone birthday, a garden party, a christening, or a summer get-together with the neighbors. The guest list and location are set, but the weather is not. A tent is your insurance policy against rain—booked so that the party never has to be canceled.
For a birthday, a folding tent over the buffet and drinks area is often enough, along with some music and lighting for the evening. You can find ideas for organization, programming, and equipment under Birthday.
For garden weddings, corporate events, or club festivals, more people gather to sit at tables with catering. For these occasions, you need a large party tent, such as a star tent for up to 100 people, which replaces a small marquee. The inflatable party tent falls somewhere in between and doubles as a dance floor in the evening.

A party tent in the garden makes your celebration independent of the weather forecast. Combined with the right lighting technology, it turns into a party wonderland.
The tent size depends on how many people are coming and whether they will be standing or sitting. Significantly more people fit under the same roof standing than sitting. The table shows the tents with their area, capacity, and daily price.
The values apply to guests standing or sitting close together, for example, if everyone moves under the roof during a rain shower. The space requirement calculator calculates standing room based on approximately 2 people per m²; buffet, bar, dance floor, and walkways are additional. It will calculate exactly how much space your entire event needs.
For over 100 guests, you need a marquee. A marquee with a wooden floor and its own structural analysis for several hundred guests is provided by a tent construction company. We do not offer such tents, nor do we offer pagoda tents. For up to 100 people, the star tent is the solution for smaller settings. At the other end of the spectrum, the 3 x 3 m folding tent is identical in construction to a pavilion: without side walls, it provides shade for a booth; with side walls, it becomes a small party tent.
The 3 x 3 m folding tent costs €99 per day, the inflatable party tent €149, and the star tent €349. A rental day consists of a full 24 hours from the time of pickup or delivery, regardless of when your event begins. Day 1 is charged at the base price, and each additional day at 15% of that price. The advantage: the rental price per day decreases with the duration of the rental. Accessories included in the delivery and all-risk insurance are included in the rental price.
A weekend from Friday to Sunday counts as three rental days; for the folding tent, this is €128.70 instead of three times €99. The outdoor party tent package, including an inflatable tent, sound system, fog machine, and lighting, costs €379 per day. Delivery, setup, and dismantling are available upon request for €59 per hour or part thereof, with travel time included in the working hours. Please check with each provider to see if side walls, anchoring, and setup are included in the price. The full pricing policy can be found under Prices. A premium version of the folding tent with anchoring materials is listed in the catalog with its own price.

How much does it cost to rent a party tent?
The 3 x 3 m folding tent costs €99 per day, the inflatable party tent €149, and the star tent €349. All prices are gross and include all-risk insurance. Day 1 is charged at the base price, and each additional 24-hour day at 15% of that price; therefore, three days for a folding tent cost €128.70. Delivery and setup are available upon request for €59 per hour or part thereof.
How many guests fit under a party tent?
The 3 x 3 m folding tent accommodates 15–25 guests standing or 10–12 seated. The inflatable party tent, with approximately 27 m², holds 60–80 standing or 30–40 seated, while the star tent, with approximately 150 m², holds up to 100 people, or 60–80 seated. For more than 100 people, a marquee is required, which we do not offer.
Can I have the party tent delivered and set up?
Yes. A service technician will bring the tent on the day of the event, set it up, and secure it; they can also take it down afterward upon request. This costs €59 per hour or part thereof, with travel time included in the working hours. For the star tent, we recommend setup by our team, as it takes two to three people 60–90 minutes. Self-collection is free of charge.
At what wind speed must a party tent be taken down?
From wind speeds of around 30 km/h (approx. Beaufort scale 5) or in the event of a severe weather warning. This applies to all our tents, even if they are well anchored. The gusts reported in the weather forecast are the deciding factor, not just the average wind speed. During a thunderstorm, everyone should go indoors, not stay under the tent.
Does a party tent require a permit?
Permits are a separate matter and depend on the location and size of the tent. On your own property, a small party tent for a private celebration usually does not require a permit. On public land, such as a square or a street, the event requires permission from the local municipality, which you should apply for well in advance. For larger tents, the building regulations of the respective state determine whether a permit is necessary; check with the local building authority beforehand.
Does the party tent come with a floor?
We do not rent out tent flooring. The tent is placed on the existing surface, ideally on level, dry grass, paving, or a patio. Side walls are included with the folding tent; the inflatable tent is fully enclosed, while the star tent has open sides.
Can I heat a party tent?
We do not rent out space heaters. On cool evenings, closed side panels keep the wind out; warm clothing and blankets also help. Open flames and gas appliances should never be used inside a closed tent.
Which is better: an inflatable party tent or a folding tent?
That depends on how many people are coming and the atmosphere you want. The 3 x 3 m folding tent is small, requires no electricity, and can be set up in under a minute; it protects a buffet, bar, or a small group. The inflatable party tent has three times the surface area, is fully enclosed, and feels like a club in the evening, but it requires constant power for the blower.
Does a party tent need electricity?
Only the inflatable party tent. Its 680 W blower runs on a 230 V outlet throughout the evening to keep the tent in shape. The folding tent and star tent do not require electricity. Music and lighting inside the tent require their own power sources.
How do you find out if a party tent is available for your date?

A party tent makes an outdoor celebration independent of the weather: it keeps out rain and wind, provides shade, and defines the space for a dance floor. For a single event, renting a tent is usually the better choice because you don't need storage space and won't end up with a wet tent in your basement afterward.
Renty offers a 3 x 3 m folding tent for small groups, an inflatable party tent for garden parties and dance floors, and a star tent as a large party tent for up to 100 people. The table above shows which size you need, and our space requirement calculator shows how much area your entire event will occupy.
The catalog shows which tents are available in your area once you enter your city. You will have a dedicated contact person at each of our 28 locations in Germany and Austria. Pickup is free of charge; delivery with setup costs €59 per hour of labor, leaving the tent ready for use so you don't have to lift a finger on the day of the event.
When planning, the ground surface is just as important as the size. A party tent requires level ground, proper anchoring, and must be taken down in winds of around 30 km/h or more; the inflatable tent also requires electricity. It is worth booking as soon as the date and size are set, as each tent can only be rented out once per date.
There are limits to what we do. We do not build large marquees for hundreds of guests that require wooden flooring, heating, and structural engineering. Our rental service covers everything below that scale, from birthday parties, garden weddings, and company events to club celebrations with up to 100 guests.
A party tent offers protection from rain and sun, but it won't help against a storm. At wind speeds of around 30 km/h (about Beaufort scale 5) or if there is a severe weather warning, every tent must be taken down, even if it is well anchored. Check the weather forecast the day before for gusts, not just the average wind speed.
If the wind picks up, close the side panel on the windward side to prevent it from getting under the roof. For the inflatable tent, the blower maintains its shape; it should be taken down at the same wind threshold. During a thunderstorm, everyone should head indoors.
During continuous rain, water can collect on the roof of a pop-up tent. Check the roof periodically and empty any water pockets before they become heavy. A tent packed away while wet will develop mildew, so our rule is: take it down dry or air it out before returning it.
On grass, the tent is anchored to the ground with pegs or ground nails, and the star tent is additionally secured via its guy lines. After heavy rain, the ground becomes soft, meaning pegs no longer hold securely and weights must be added.
Tent pegs do not hold on hard ground. In such cases, weights on each leg secure the tent; for the pop-up tent, this is done using the four mounts for sandbags. A protective tarp is placed under the inflatable tent on rough ground.
The table shows the details of the tents: dimensions, height, weight, setup time, and anchoring. The values are taken from product data, with additional information for the inflatable party tent provided by the manufacturer, VEVOR.
The pop-up tent has a steel frame and a roof made of PVC-coated polyester. With an interior height of about 2 m, adults can stand upright inside, and when folded, it rolls to the car in its transport bag.
The inflatable party tent is 4.25 m high and can also be set up in a hall if the ceiling is at least 4.5 m high. Its 680 W blower requires a 230 V power outlet at all times. If there is no outlet at the setup location, a power station is an option. How long it lasts depends on its capacity and the duration of your event. The star tent requires about 20 x 20 m of clear space for guy lines, with no branches or cables above the mast.
Side panels, yes; a tent floor, no. Our party tents stand on the existing surface, ideally on dry grass, pavement, or a patio. We do not provide wooden flooring like in a marquee, and tables, chairs, and patio heaters are not part of our range.
Four side panels made of PVC-coated polyester are attached via zippers and can be removed individually. When open, the tent provides shade; when closed, it keeps wind and rain away from your guests and the buffet.
Fully enclosed, with an entrance and transparent windows. On rough pavement or concrete, a protective tarp should be placed under the tent to prevent damage to the material.
The sides are open, and the roof is accessible from all directions. The fabric provides protection from the sun and rain showers, but it gets chilly underneath on cool evenings.
Set up the tent on level, slightly elevated ground so that rainwater does not run under the roof. On wet grass, rugs or mats help keep people from standing in the mud.
You can set up the folding tent with two people and no tools, and the same applies to the inflatable tent. A star tent requires two to three people and about 60-90 minutes, so we recommend having our team handle the setup. Here is how to set up the folding tent:
The inflatable tent is laid out and connected to the blower; it stands in about five minutes and is then secured with ground stakes and tension ropes. If you don't want to set it up yourself or have little experience with tents, book our delivery and setup service: A service technician will deliver, set up, secure, and dismantle the tent for €59 per hour or part thereof. This is especially worthwhile for star tents and if you are short on time on the day of the event.
Once dusk falls, the tent needs lighting, or the party will end with the sun. Create ambiance with battery-powered lights on the tent poles and colored lights shining up against the roof. For an inflatable tent, two party lights are enough, and the black walls will turn it into a club. You can find spotlights, party lights, and battery-powered lamps under Lighting technology. Lay cables so that no one trips over them, and only use outdoor-rated cables outside.
