Renty rents out complete lighting systems as light sets or light show packages starting at €99 per day, including stands and controllers. You can book online and pick up for free, or have the lighting system delivered and set up for you. You can see which light sets are available for your date directly in the catalog.
Anyone looking to rent a lighting system rarely wants just a single device. What is needed is ready-to-use lighting and the right atmosphere for the evening, and both only come from several parts that work together: effect lighting for the dance floor, ambient lighting for walls and corners, a stand to lift the spotlights above people's heads, and a controller that syncs the light to the music.
The centerpiece is the light bar, also known as an LED bar. Several spotlights are mounted on a crossbar: PAR spots (small LED spotlights that wash the room in color), derby effects (which throw moving beams of light across the ceiling and floor), and a strobe for quick flashes. The LEDs mix colors directly without color filters and consume very little power. Depending on the set, other light effects are added: battery-powered lights, LED disco balls, moving heads, or a hazer that makes the beams visible in the air.
In our rental service, these parts are combined as a set and technically matched, which saves setup time. You choose based on the number of guests and the room size, not by reading data sheets, and you get everything you need for the evening in one booking.
Three questions, and then the setup is determined. The guide doesn't suggest a single product, but rather the type of lighting system that suits your celebration, from a light set to a light show package. The selection in the catalog will then show you which of these sets are available for your date.
A lighting system is worth it as soon as there is going to be dancing. With full ceiling lighting, a dance floor rarely gets going because everyone can see everyone else. Once the ceiling lights go out and the light bar turns on, the atmosphere changes, and the room turns into a dance floor. For birthdays, graduation parties, weddings, and any other event with a dance floor, this is the moment the party starts.
For a birthday party in a basement or clubhouse, a light set with one light bar is sufficient. At weddings, the dance floor is usually in the same hall where dinner was served. The large set is worth it there because it also illuminates walls and corners. For a party with an entrance, a show act, or a small stage, a light show package is the right choice.
If you need music and light together, choose one of the complete packages, where the sound system and lighting are already combined.

A single light bar combined with a fog machine is enough to color an entire room. For the dance floor, moving effects are added.
In lighting technology, light effects are available as complete systems or as individual devices. This page lists the sets—meaning light bars, battery lights, and controllers in a single booking—as well as the packages for a full light show and DMX control. If you are only looking for a single effect for your event, such as a derby, laser, or strobe, individual devices are the right choice.
Individual effect devices such as light bars, derbies, or lasers can be found under Party Lighting. An overview of all lighting technology categories, from ambient light to spotlights, is available under Lighting Technology.
The Light Package costs €99 per day, the Large Light Package €249, and the light show packages €399 and €449. A rental day consists of a full 24 hours from pickup or delivery, regardless of when your event starts. Day 1 is charged at the base price, and each additional day is 15% of that, meaning the daily rental rate decreases with the duration of the rental. Control systems, accessories, and all-risk insurance are included in the rental.
A weekend from Friday to Sunday counts as three rental days; for the Light Package, this is €128.70 instead of three times €99. A DMX controller like the Wolfmix W1 MK2 costs from €39.90 per day and can be added to any set. The full pricing policy can be found under Prices.
You pick up the equipment from the location in your city and set it up yourself. Everything is prepared for plug-and-play, and there is a video tutorial for every device.

We bring the equipment to your venue and pick it up again after the event. You can handle the connection and setup yourself; every device is prepared for it.

We set up the equipment on-site, handle the cabling, configure the sound and lighting, and dismantle everything after the event. You receive a fully configured system ready to go.

A technician stays on-site during the event, responds to changes in the schedule, and handles the teardown afterward. The safest option for speeches and presentations.

How much does it cost to rent a lighting system?
The Light Package costs €99 per day, the Large Light Package €249, and the light show packages €399 and €449. All prices include VAT, control systems, and insurance. Day 1 is charged at the base price, and each additional 24-hour day is 15% of that. Three days for the Light Package therefore cost €128.70.
How many guests can a lighting system accommodate?
The Light Package is designed for parties with up to 100 people and rooms of around 200 m². The Large Light Package covers an entire hall of up to around 250 m² with two light bars from both sides. The light show packages are intended for 200 and 300 guests. For events with more space, sets can be combined; the range is designed for events with up to about 500 guests.
Do you need a power outlet for the lighting system?
Yes, but usually only one. With the Light Package, only the light bar needs to be plugged in; the four ambient lights run on battery power for up to 12 or 14 hours, depending on the model and mode. The Large Light Package requires two power outlets for the light bars and disco balls. The large packages are mains-powered, with the exception of the battery-operated lights. If the outlet is further away, an extension cord or power strip will do the trick.
How long does it take to set up?
The Light Package can be set up in about ten minutes: set up the stand, attach the light bar, distribute the battery lights, and select the program. The Light Package Large takes about 20 minutes. No tools are required. If you want to delegate the setup, you can add delivery and assembly to your rental for €59 per started hour of work.
Do you need prior knowledge to operate it?
Not for the light sets. The light bar has automatic and music-controlled modes on board, also known as sound-to-light, and reacts to the beat via a built-in microphone. You set the ambient lights using a remote control. In the Professional Light Show Package, the MaestroDMX runs the show independently to the music; for the Wolfmix in the Ape Labs package, basic knowledge is helpful. If you don't want to handle the lighting yourself, you can book on-site support, and a service technician will operate the system for you.
Why are the light beams barely visible?
Because light remains invisible in clear air until it hits a surface. You would then only see the dots on the wall and ceiling. Only haze in the air makes the beams visible, which is why the large packages include a hazer. Before the event, check with the venue to see if haze is allowed, as sensitive smoke detectors may react to it.
Can the lighting system be used outdoors?
Yes, under a roof—meaning at an event in a tent, a barn, or on a covered terrace. Light bars and disco balls are built for indoor use and cannot withstand rain. The battery-powered ambient lights in the Light Package are IP65-rated against dust and water jets. Plugs and extension cords must be kept dry in any case.
Can you control a lighting system via DMX?
Yes. The light bars in the sets have a DMX connection, and the large packages come with their own controller. You can rent a DMX controller to go with a light set, such as the Wolfmix W1 MK2, which runs shows without a laptop, starting at €39.90 per day. This is not necessary, however, as automatic and music-controlled modes are sufficient for most celebrations.
Does the lighting system fit in a standard car?
The Light Package fits into any standard trunk. For the Light Package Large, a station wagon or a large trunk is sufficient; the stands are the longest parts. The light show packages come in cases and require more space, so delivery is often worth it.
How do you find out if a lighting system is available for your date?
Use the catalog at the top of this page. Enter your city and date to see immediately which rental sets are available for that period, including the price. You don't need to send an email inquiry. For questions in advance, you can contact us directly by phone or WhatsApp, daily from 8:00 AM to 10:00 PM.
Borrowing, hiring, or renting a lighting system all mean the same thing: you get the event technology for a fixed period and return it afterward. Unlike buying, you only pay for the days the lights are in use and don't have to worry about storage or transport cases. When renting a lighting system, what happens at the venue is what matters most. You will receive a briefing when you pick up the equipment; the light sets fit into a standard car and can be set up without tools. If you don't want to transport anything yourself, you can have the system delivered and set up for €59 per started hour of work. On-site support costs the same and is worthwhile for larger events or if the lighting needs to match a fixed schedule, such as an entrance, opening dance, or show act. There are limitations to keep in mind. Lighting of this type only works when it is dark. No spotlight can compete with daylight coming through large windows; the only solution is to darken the room or wait for dusk. Beams only become visible in haze; without a hazer or fog machine, you will only see points of light on the walls and ceiling. Also, the system does not replace work lighting: keep the regular lights on for walkways and cleanup. There are limitations to keep in mind. Lighting of this type only works when it is dark. Typical occasions include birthdays, weddings, company parties, graduation balls, and club events, as well as any event or party held in a rented space. Depending on the style of the celebration, the lighting can be kept more subtle or more dynamic; for a company party, it is usually more subtle than for a birthday party. The equipment is the same. Two factors determine the setup on-site: the number of outlets and the electrical circuit. Thanks to LED technology, a light bar consumes relatively little power—the Cameo MULTI FX BAR EZ uses 110 watts according to the data sheet, and the Stairville LED BossFX-2 Pro uses 130 watts. It only becomes critical if lights, music, and cooling equipment are all on the same circuit. Therefore, check where the outlets are located and what else is connected to them before the event. DMX is the standard control protocol for lighting technology. A controller sends commands for color, brightness, and movement to each device via cable or wireless signal. For a standard party, our lighting sets don't need this, as they run on automatic and sound-activated modes.
