✓ 572 Wh capacity ✓ 1200 watts ✓ Compact and lightweight | LiFePO4 | Mobile power source for small events of up to 100 people.
The EcoFlow River 3 Max delivers 572 watt-hours from a LiFePO4 battery and provides up to 600 watts of continuous power via three AC outlets, with a peak of up to 1,200 watts. This allows a battery-powered speaker to run for about 5 hours or a projector for about 1.5 hours, without a generator or engine noise. The unit consists of the River 3 Plus base unit and the attached EB300 extra battery, which connect via contact pins without the need for cables.

Capacity in watt-hours divided by power consumption in watts equals runtime in hours. Because the inverter consumes some of the energy, about 486 of the 572 watt-hours are actually available to your devices.

600 watts of continuous power is the hard limit, and three types of devices typically fail here in practice. Fog machines draw many times their continuous power rating when heating up and are the most common mistake. Active subwoofers briefly require more in the bass range than the reserve can handle. And anything with a heating element—such as space heaters, kettles, or coffee machines—exceeds this limit anyway. Short power surges of up to 1,200 watts are covered by the inverter's reserve. For such setups, you need a power station with an output of at least 1,800 watts; you can find a selection in our mobile power supply section.

How long will a sound system run on the EcoFlow River 3 Max?
A battery-powered speaker with around 100 watts will run for about 5 hours, while two speakers with a mixer will run for about 3 hours. This is calculated based on a 572 watt-hour capacity and approximately 85 percent usable energy, as the inverter consumes a portion of the power.
How long it lasts in a specific case depends primarily on the volume. A system used for background music draws significantly less power than the same system on a crowded dance floor.
How much does the EcoFlow River 3 Max cost for a weekend?
Two days cost 52.37 euros, three days 64.84 euros. The first day costs 39.90 euros, and each additional 24-hour day is 12.47 euros.
The daily rate decreases with each night, coming to around 16 euros for seven days. All prices include VAT, require no deposit, and include all-risk insurance.
Which devices can I connect and which ones can't I?
Everything up to 600 watts of continuous power runs without issues via the three Schuko sockets: sound systems, LED lighting, projectors, laptops, coolers, and routers. Short power surges of up to 1,200 watts are covered by the reserve.
The power station is not suitable for fog machines, active subwoofers, or anything with a heating element, such as space heaters, kettles, or coffee machines. These require a device with at least 1,800 watts of output power.
How fast does the power station recharge?
The manufacturer does not provide a reliable charging time from zero to one hundred percent for the European version, which is why no figure is listed here.
In practice, you should plan for a full charge overnight. Charging while in operation is possible. As an uninterruptible power supply, the device switches over in under 10 milliseconds.
How heavy is the EcoFlow River 3 Max and will it fit in a car?
The EcoFlow River 3 Max weighs 8.2 kilograms and measures 234 x 232 x 146 millimeters. One person can carry it over short distances, but it is better to use two people for longer hauls.
It fits upright in any station wagon or trunk. When transporting it in a car, do not lay it on its side; stand it upright and secure it against sliding.
Do I need technical knowledge to operate it?
No. You turn the device on, plug in your equipment, and get started. There is nothing more to do, and no instruction is needed.
There is only one calculation that makes sense: add up the wattage of all the devices you want to run simultaneously and check if the total stays below 600 watts. You can find out how long the battery will last in the table above.
