Every device has a base price. This base price applies to the first rental day. For every additional rental day, 15 percent of the base price is added. The surcharge is always based on the first day's price, not on the accumulated amount.
This is not a discount promotion, but rather our actual cost structure. Inspection, cleaning, handover, and return take place once per booking, regardless of whether a system is in use for one evening or a week. Only the actual usage period is extended. This is exactly what the price reflects, rather than charging the full amount every day.
In practical terms, this means the effective daily rate decreases with each additional day. A weekend from Friday to Sunday counts as three rental days and costs 1.3 times the base price instead of three times. A presentation package for €79 therefore costs €102.70 for the entire weekend instead of €237. The daily rate is the same on Saturday as it is on Tuesday. There are no surcharges for weekends or holidays. The amount shown in the shopping cart is the amount that will be charged.
The amount shown in the shopping cart is the amount that will be charged. The daily rate is the same on Saturday as it is on Tuesday; there are no surcharges for weekends or holidays. However, two points remain true: the price is based on the booked rental duration, and an early return does not lower it. Furthermore, bookings made via the website are generally prepaid; payment is made via credit card, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay, or Klarna, depending on what is offered at checkout. All details can be found on the payment options page.
Self-pickup at the location is free and is the easiest solution for most bookings, as almost the entire range fits into a standard car. If you don't have the time or a suitable vehicle, you can add one or more service options in the shopping cart.
Billing is per started hour of work, and the booked price includes one hour. If travel, setup, or waiting time on-site takes longer, every additional started hour will be invoiced subsequently. We will coordinate any foreseeable additional effort in advance so that no one is surprised by the final invoice. Experience shows that delivery with setup within the city takes about two hours of work, which is approximately €118 in addition to the rental fee.

Each location has its own delivery area, usually the city and its immediate surroundings. We can clarify addresses beyond that upon request. Because distances and effort vary, the hourly rate may differ depending on the location. The amount shown at checkout is always binding. You can find details on exactly what this service includes on the services page.

A rental day is a full 24 hours, calculated from the time of pickup or delivery. It is not based on the calendar day. If you pick up at 3:00 PM on Saturday and return at 3:00 PM on Sunday, you have booked exactly one rental day and pay the base price.
A single hour beyond the 24-hour mark starts the next rental day. This is how the booking system works, and the calendar shows exactly how many rental days will be charged when you select your period. The price is based on the booked rental duration. Returning equipment early does not lower the price. If you are unsure, it is better to book for a shorter period and extend if necessary, provided the equipment is still available in the calendar.
Keep opening hours in mind. Pickup and return take place by appointment within the hours specified for each location. If your 24-hour window falls outside these times, please check the period with the location in advance. This prevents the return time alone from triggering an additional rental day.
Enter the base price, select the rental duration, and add services. The calculator applies the 15 percent rule.
A security deposit of several hundred euros is standard in traditional rentals, but it doesn't solve a single problem for the customer. The money is tied up for two weeks, the refund takes time, and if a piece of equipment fails, the deposit doesn't help anyone.
Instead, every booking is handled via online prepayment, and the equipment is covered by all-risk insurance. From over 3,500 events per year, we know that typical incidents are minor: a knocked-over tripod, a cable damaged by a guest, or a rain shower that arrives sooner than expected. That is exactly what the €250 cap is for. You can find details on the process from selection to return in our rental process.

If you only need equipment a few times a year, renting is almost always a better deal than buying. Not just because of the initial purchase price, but because of everything that follows. For event organizers who book multiple times a year, there is the added benefit of consistent workflows, points of contact, and equipment. The setup briefing is shorter the second time around, and setups can be repeated.
A large part of our service is not just in the rental price, but in everything surrounding it. These points are free of charge and apply to every booking, regardless of the total. We are just as clear about what we do not offer: Renty does not sell equipment, does not ship packages, and does not build stages. You get this assessment before you book, not after.
The most important questions regarding Renty's pricing.
How does Renty calculate the price for multiple rental days?
The first day of rental costs the full base price of the device. Each additional 24-hour day costs 15% of the base price. Therefore, a sound package for €159 costs €206.70 for three days instead of €477.
Are the stated prices gross or net?
All prices on the website are gross prices including VAT. Corporate clients from the EU outside of Austria can receive a net invoice via the reverse-charge procedure if they provide a valid VAT ID number.
How much do delivery, setup, and event support cost?
Each of these service options costs €59 per started hour of work; one hour is included in the booking price. Self-collection at our location is free of charge. The price valid for your booking will be displayed at checkout.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
No, Renty does not generally charge a deposit for bookings. We only reserve the right to request a deposit for particularly high-value equipment on a case-by-case basis, about which you will be informed before the rental begins.
What do I pay if something breaks during the rental?
For insured damages, your liability is limited to €250 per affected product, with the all-risk insurance covering the rest. In the event of theft or robbery, the deductible is 25% of the damage amount, with a minimum of €250 per product.
How much does it cost to cancel a booking?
Cancellations are free of charge up to 14 days before the start of the rental period. After that, 25% of the total order amount applies; from less than 7 days, 50%; from less than 3 days, 75%; and on the last day before the rental begins, 100%.
