What is the 18" subwoofer suitable for?

The Fame Audio 18" subwoofer is the right choice if your speakers need more bass. Typical uses: weddings and birthdays with a dance floor, DJ sets and club nights in medium-sized venues, band performances as a PA bass extension, and outdoor events with high volume requirements. With its 18-inch woofer, it delivers significantly deeper and punchier bass than standard 12 or 15-inch subwoofers.

What is the power output of the subwoofer?

The subwoofer provides 600 watts RMS and 1,200 watts peak. This power class is ideal for medium to large events with up to 200 people. The integrated Class-D amplifier is efficient and delivers consistent power, even during extended operation at full load.

How is the subwoofer connected?

The subwoofer has XLR inputs for the input signal and XLR outputs with a built-in high-pass crossover for the tops. Workflow: Mixer to sub: XLR from the mixer into the sub input. Sub to tops: XLR from the high-pass output to the speakers. Select frequency: Set the crossover frequency on the sub (typically 80-100 Hz). This allows the sub to handle the deep bass and relieves the tops, making the entire system sound punchier and cleaner.

How many subs do I need?

That depends on your setup and the number of people. Recommendations: Up to 100 people: 1 subwoofer is enough for sufficient punch. 100 to 200 people: 2 subwoofers for stereo bass. Open-air events: At least 2 subwoofers, as a lot of pressure is lost outdoors.

How does it differ from smaller subs?

The 18" sub goes significantly deeper and delivers more punch than 12 or 15-inch models. Comparison: 12-inch sub: Compact, bass down to approx. 50 Hz, ideal for small rooms. 15-inch sub: Medium size, bass down to approx. 45 Hz, versatile. 18-inch sub (this one): Deepest bass down to approx. 35 Hz, punchy, ideal for dance floors.

What is included in the rental?

The rental includes the Fame Audio 18" subwoofer and the power cable. You can optionally book XLR cables, matching tops, or a complete PA setup from Renty in Essen.
