André Deutsch is a co-founder of Renty and oversees operations: inspection and maintenance of rental inventory, standardized handover and return procedures, and logistics across 28 locations in Germany and Austria. With a background in catering and event management, he has worked as a DJ and project manager, learning firsthand how much preparation is required to ensure an event runs smoothly. He holds a technical degree from HTL Zeltweg.

He co-founded Renty in 2022 with Jakob Puck and Simon Illedits in Graz. Because his role involves dealing with damage reports, scheduling conflicts, and last-minute changes daily, he knows exactly where event organizers are most often caught off guard.

In the Renty guide, André writes about the organizational and legal aspects of events: GEMA and AKM, public liability and cancellation insurance, permits and curfews, noise protection, safety, and youth protection. He is not a lawyer. He describes what organizers face in practice and refers readers to the appropriate authorities for binding legal advice.

For non-commercial events, the broadcast license is usually free, but GEMA and AKM fees still apply. This guide covers all items, deadlines, and the distinction between private and public events.

Gaming Projectors: What Matters When Playing on the Big Screen

When gaming on a projector screen, input lag is what matters, not resolution. You won't notice anything under 20 milliseconds, controls feel sluggish from 70ms onwards, and the gaming mode in the menu almost always provides the biggest boost. A gaming projector with a solid gaming mode and Full HD will beat any 4K projector without one. 4K at 120 Hz sounds impressive on a spec sheet, but it is only utilized in a few titles on current game consoles.

Christmas party games: 17 games including duration, materials, and instructions

Games at a Christmas party work best when they are voluntary, last under 20 minutes, and don't put anyone on the spot. Two to three rounds throughout the evening are enough: a short one upon arrival, the main game after the main course, and perhaps something casual for later. The seventeen games listed here include duration, group size, materials, and instructions, along with the point at which they tend to lose momentum.
